I am a Shanghai-born, Singapore-raised and Edinburgh-based artist. I paint, draw, illustrate, and take photographs. My artworks are about my personal relationships and cultural identity. Some recurring themes include love and loss, remembering and forgetting, and moving and moving on. My paintings traverse between reality and fiction, and they are often based on memories of personal events and/or photographs of people close to me. My photographs explore the tension between being seen and remaining invisible in both intimate and public spaces. I create illustrations, designs, photographs and writings for organisations, events or publications. I also do commission works. To inquire, please fill up the contact form. In a parallel life, I am about to finish a PhD in Philosophy at the University of Edinburgh.
